What do these numbers mean?
To some it could be a year,
To others a combination,
To me, its meaning is clear
A reminder of the past
Of the mistakes I’ve made
The people I’ve hurt.
The feelings that fade
It’s a reminder to look forward
To stop living in the past
A reminder to be myself
And not hide behind a mask
It tells me of a time
When things were going well
But I was stupid
And made them go to hell
It tells me of a heart I broke
That never deserved the pain
But that’s in the past
And I won’t let it happen again
